Leadership
In 1968, Jim founded what would become Hannon-Murphy Insurance with a simple vision: to build a neighborhood insurance agency where people could count on friendly faces, trusted advice, and a genuine commitment to the community. More than five decades later, those values remain at the heart of the agency.
A lifelong champion of Pembroke, Jim has dedicated countless hours to his hometown, serving as President of the Pembroke Lions Club, Pembroke Arts Festival, and Pembroke Historical Society, as well as a town selectman and Housing Authority member. His commitment to helping others has always extended far beyond insurance.
Jim began his insurance career in 1959 and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1985. He remains an active partner in Hannon-Murphy and is always a welcome sight when he stops by the Pembroke office.
Above all, Jim is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who takes great pride in his family and the community he calls home. His legacy isn't simply the insurance agency he founded, but the relationships, friendships, and trust he's built along the way.
Steve joined Hannon-Murphy Insurance in 1995, beginning his career in life insurance before growing into his role as agency owner. With more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, Steve brings a strong background in commercial insurance, agency operations, and helping South Shore businesses and families protect what matters most.
What began as an opportunity to work alongside his future father-in-law and agency founder, Jim Hannon, became a lifelong commitment to the family business. Today, Steve continues to build on Jim's original vision of an independent insurance agency rooted in personal relationships, trusted advice, and community involvement.
Outside the office, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, attending sporting events, and getting outdoors with his two dogs, Kona and Cruz. Whether he's tackling an agency technology challenge or lending a hand with a complicated insurance question, Steve is never far from the action.
Pembroke
With over 46 years in the insurance industry, Pat brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Hannon-Murphy Insurance. As Vice President, Pembroke Office Manager, and Commercial Lines Account Manager, she takes pride in helping local businesses and families navigate their insurance needs. Whether she's solving a complicated coverage question or helping clients find the right protection, Pat believes in providing knowledgeable, dependable service with a personal touch.
Outside the office, Pat is a devoted grandmother of five who enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her family. Her desk is rarely without her trusty thermos of tea, and when it's time for a vacation, you'll likely find her aboard a cruise ship, enjoying new destinations and a little well-deserved relaxation.
Amy has been a member of the Hannon-Murphy team since September of 1987. Amy is a commercial lines account manager. Amy has her CIC, CISR and certificate in General Insurance.
Sarah has been part of the Hannon Murphy team for 21 years—and counting. Over the years, she’s worn many hats, starting as an Account Representative, then stepping into the role of Marketing Director, and now keeping everything running smoothly as part of the Operations team. With a job that changes daily, she thrives on variety—no two days are ever the same (and she loves it that way).
Her drink of choice? Strawberry Banana Crystal Light, on a near-constant loop. Her desk is never without a stash of “Nana candy”—you know, the classic butterscotch and strawberry hard candies your grandma always had. She has also somehow developed an obsession with desk geese-three are now hanging out with her.
At home, things are just as lively with Gabby, a labradoodle who’s convinced she’s a cat, and two actual cats: Luke and Leia—though they're better known by their stage names, Greg and Fat Cat. With a senior in college, a soon to be college freshman athlete, and a sophmore in high school at home, life is very full.
She never gets tired of watching The Office, finds comfort in a good handful of Nilla Wafers, and is most proud of her favorite role yet: being a mom. If she weren’t keeping things in line at Hannon Murphy, you'd probably find her in a courtroom chasing down objections as a lawyer. Her life’s theme song? Mess by Noah Kahan—which pretty much sums up the beautiful chaos she navigates with style.
Rachel brings a friendly personality, a great sense of humor, and a genuine love of helping people to her role as an Account Manager at Hannon-Murphy Insurance. Whether she's answering coverage questions, helping clients understand their policies, or looking for ways to save on insurance, Rachel enjoys making the process a little easier and a lot less stressful.
Outside the office, Rachel is a devoted Bruins fan, a Marylou's Coffee enthusiast, and a proud dog mom to her goofy pup, Kevin. She loves spending time with her family, enjoying good pizza, and singing along to Tom Petty. Her dream vacation? A trip to Ireland to explore her family roots—and maybe visit a pub or two!
Carol joined Hannon-Murphy Insurance in March 2024, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. As an Account Manager and Certified Professional in Personal Lines (CPPL), she enjoys helping clients understand their home and auto insurance, answering questions, and finding solutions that make life a little easier.
Outside the office, Carol is an active member and officer of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, where she dedicates her time to community events, volunteering, and friendships she's built along the way.
A proud mom and grandmother, Carol loves cheering on her family, relaxing with a glass of iced tea and some potato chips, and dreaming of her next getaway to the beaches of Aruba.
Since joining Hannon-Murphy Insurance in May 2025, Samantha has been diving headfirst into the world of personal lines—quite literally, considering she holds 11-ELEVEN!!!- scuba diving certifications and dreams of exploring the Great Barrier Reef someday.
With 6 years of insurance experience under her belt and currently working toward multiple designations, Sam is always eager to learn something new every day-she has recently started her journey to achieve her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation and recently passed her first exam.
A proud parent and coffee enthusiast, Samantha keeps a photo of her adorable daughter Maddy front and center on her desk. When she's not helping clients or studying up on industry certifications, you might find her rewatching Harry Potter or Peaky Blinders or hanging out with her and Maddy's favorite cat duo—Padfoot and Luna, who act more like rambunctious puppies than felines.
Fun fact? If she wasn't at HM, she'd be on a beach, margarita in hand, but we’re glad she’s here instead—bringing great energy, deep knowledge, and just the right dose of wizarding magic to the team.
A lifelong South Shore resident, Julie grew up in Whitman and raised her family in the community she still calls home. As an Account Manager at Hannon-Murphy Insurance, she enjoys helping clients understand their auto insurance coverage and why choosing the right protection matters.
Known for her insurance knowledge and love of tackling unusual coverage questions, Julie believes there's no such thing as a silly question. She takes pride in explaining insurance in everyday language, listening to clients, and helping them feel confident in their decisions.
Outside the office, Julie loves tackling DIY projects, decorating for Christmas, and spending time with George, her yellow Lab. Her family's favorite phrase of hers? “Let me look it up!”—which perfectly captures her curiosity and dedication to finding answers.
With deep roots in Halifax and now calling Carver home, Jessie is a South Shore local who loves helping people understand their insurance. She believes great customer service starts with a conversation and takes pride in making sure clients feel heard, informed, and genuinely cared for.
One of her favorite ways to explain personal property coverage? Imagine turning your house upside down and shaking it. Everything that falls out is a good starting point for understanding what your belongings are worth!
A self-described old soul, Jessie is a mom of three who enjoys crocheting, gardening, baking, and caring for her ever-growing collection of animals, including chickens, cats, a dog, and a rabbit. And like any true New Englander, she'll happily grab an iced Dunkin' coffee in the middle of winter.
Pembroke Administrative Assistants
Meg brings a personal touch and a little seasonal flair to the Hannon-Murphy Insurance office. Whether she's decorating her workspace or showing off an outfit inspired by the latest holiday, Meg enjoys making the office feel welcoming and full of personality.
As a member of our office support team, Meg helps with day-to-day administrative tasks that support the agency's operations. Her creative side shines through in the details, especially when there's a holiday or change of season to celebrate.
When it comes to adding a little color and personality to the workday, Meg has a style all her own!
Every great team has someone who keeps things running behind the scenes, and at Hannon-Murphy Insurance, Karen is one of those people! A former school teacher with exceptional organizational skills, Karen helps keep the office organized, stocked, and running smoothly. From managing supplies to tackling the countless little details that make a big difference, her contributions are appreciated by everyone around her.
Outside the office, Karen is just as dedicated to making a difference. She spends much of her free time volunteering in the community alongside her beloved comfort dog, Moose, bringing smiles and companionship wherever they go. A lifelong learner, Karen also enjoys taking enrichment classes and exploring new interests.
Whether she's lending a hand at the agency or giving back to her community, Karen has a way of making everything around her a little better.
A member of the Hannon-Murphy Insurance team since 2015, Nancy brings years of experience, a quick wit, and a friendly personality to the office. She enjoys helping clients with their insurance needs and appreciates the relationships she's built with coworkers and customers over the years. Whether she's answering questions or learning something new, Nancy is always fueled by a good cup of coffee—or several!
Around the office, Nancy is known as the unofficial weather reporter and resident holiday enthusiast. Outside of work, she's a proud mom of two, a devoted Disney fan, and a cat mom to Alden and Rosie. When she's not planning her next Disney adventure, you'll likely find her enjoying a good unsolved mystery documentary or spending time with family.

Plymouth
Lisa brings more than eight years of insurance industry experience to Hannon-Murphy's Plymouth office, along with a genuine passion for building lasting relationships with clients. She believes that earning someone's trust is an important part of helping them navigate their insurance needs, and she enjoys getting to know the people she works with.
Always eager to expand her knowledge, Lisa is currently exploring the world of commercial auto insurance and welcomes the opportunity to learn something new. Her dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to personal service make her a welcome addition to the Hannon-Murphy team.
Outside the office, Lisa is a proud mom of three sons who enjoys crocheting, watching Everybody Loves Raymond, and spending time with her dog, Caz, and cat, Harley. An Alaskan cruise is at the top of her travel wish list!
Erica brings several years of insurance experience to the Personal Lines team at Hannon-Murphy Insurance's Plymouth office. Known for her easygoing personality, friendly approach, and great sense of humor, Erica has a way of making conversations feel comfortable, even when the subject is insurance!
Whether she's helping with auto insurance, answering homeowners insurance questions, or assisting clients with changes to their policies, Erica enjoys making the process straightforward and approachable. She understands that everyone's insurance needs are different and takes the time to help clients find solutions that work for them.
With her relaxed demeanor and welcoming personality, Erica brings a refreshing approach to helping South Shore individuals and families protect what matters most.
Maggie has been a familiar face at Hannon-Murphy Insurance since 1998, bringing more than 28 years of experience with the agency to her role as a Personal Lines Account Manager. She began her career in the Pembroke office before joining the Plymouth team in 2014, building lasting relationships with clients along the way.
With decades of experience helping individuals and families navigate their insurance needs, Maggie understands the importance of personal service and making clients feel comfortable asking questions. Her focus on long-term relationships reflects Hannon-Murphy's commitment to providing knowledgeable, dependable insurance guidance throughout the South Shore.
Outside the office, Maggie is a proud mother and grandmother who also happens to have a flair for fashion. Around Hannon-Murphy, she's known for bringing her own sense of style to the workday!
Osterville
A member of the Hannon-Murphy Insurance family since 2008, Lisa brings nearly two decades of experience with the agency to our Osterville office. With strong ties to the Cape Cod community, Lisa understands the importance of personal relationships and the friendly, local service that makes an independent insurance agency special.
When she's not at the office, Lisa loves spending time with her family, especially enjoying Cape Cod's beautiful beaches with her grandson. She's also a dedicated New England Patriots fan who enjoys cheering on the team with her sons.
Giving back to the community is especially important to Lisa. She has devoted time to supporting cystic fibrosis fundraising efforts, including participating in Ski for the Cure. Whether she's spending time with family, enjoying the beach, or supporting a cause close to her heart, Lisa brings a generous spirit to everything she does.
MaryJo joined Hannon-Murphy Insurance in 2019, bringing decades of insurance industry experience and a wealth of knowledge in both personal and commercial insurance. Beginning her career with Aetna, she worked in several departments, including as a floater, gaining valuable experience across different areas of the insurance business.
A licensed insurance producer since 2015, MaryJo earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2017. Her broad industry background and years of hands-on experience make her a knowledgeable resource for clients and colleagues alike. Always willing to share what she knows, MaryJo takes the time to help coworkers learn, answer questions, and build their own confidence in the insurance industry.
At Hannon-Murphy's Osterville office, she brings that same knowledge and approachable nature to helping Cape Cod individuals and businesses navigate their insurance needs.
Outside the office, MaryJo enjoys spending time with her husband and family, golfing, and relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Sandwich.
